OekoTex Standard 100 certification
The certification is an international brand and certifies that textile products are not harmful to the health of adults and children .
Our eco-friendly laundry is one of the few (and first) to have achieved this certification, with a specific goal: to promote the well-being of our clients' guests by reducing to zero the likelihood that sheets, towels, pillowcases, mattress protectors, and all other items will cause allergies.
But let's see better what it is about
“Confidence in Textile” is a registered trademark owned by the International Association for Research and Control in the Sector of Textile Ecology , also known as Oeko-Tex and spontaneously formed by numerous research institutes and laboratories from all over the world.
In our case, it's the "Centrocot" cotton textile center. This is a brand that certifies its safety and harmlessness to health and the environment.

This mark is issued at the end of a control and certification process, called Standard 100, through which it is certified that all the materials and chemical products used in the production of each individual component of the textile product (for example, the fabric, the labels, the stitching) as well as the individual production processes (for example, dyeing or printing) comply with certain safety standards.
The analysis is based on the verification of the possible presence of harmful chemical substances , prohibited by law, as well as those commonly considered harmful, but not yet expressly prohibited, and involves both the samples provided by the manufacturing companies and others, taken randomly and without warning.
Who is authorized to use the trademark?
The use of this label, easily recognizable by consumers, is granted only if the chemical substances used in the various stages of textile manufacturing have passed a testing and analysis process. This process is carried out in compliance with the procedures and evaluation criteria defined by the Oeko-Tex Association itself.
The issuing of the certificate by one of the Oeko-Tex institutes attests that a product or company meets certain requirements and allows it to use the mark corresponding to that type of certification.
Classes of textile products
Textile products that can be labelled with the Oeko-tex Standard 100 “Tested for harmful substances” label can be of various types and include not only textile garments, but also toys, furnishing materials and fabric coverings.
All these textile products are grouped into four classes, depending on the recipients and the use that will be made of them:
Class 1 : All products for babies and children up to 3 years old. This class includes clothing, but also fabric toys, sheets, sponges, and any other fabric item intended for children in this age group.
Class 2 : All textile products worn in direct contact with the skin, whether by adults or children. This obviously includes clothing, but also other items such as sheets or sponges that may come into contact with the skin. In our case, all sheets and sponges are certified in this class .
Class 3 : all textile products which, during use, do not come into direct contact with the skin.
Class 4 : Furnishing materials and coverings. This class includes, for example, curtains, tablecloths, blankets, cushions, but also seat or sofa covers.
The Consumer
Therefore, by identifying the brand on the product, the consumer has the guarantee that it has passed specific tests carried out by one of the institutes belonging to the Oeko-Tex association, which certifies that it is not harmful to health .
